The book fair has a variety of genres and books they also have posters too. Some of the books are 2017 Year in sports and 1,000 gross facts but there is still much more to get than those. Some kids brought money to buy books. Our class went on Friday 11/18/16. The Book Fair was open Thursday 11/17/16 and will be open during parent teacher conferences. The Book Fair was very fun. We also donated money to All For Books program.
In Number Corners we’ve been finding what types of triangles they were by sides and angles, and we’ve been finding the X and Y coordinates of them. We have found out a pattern going on with the different triangles. We are also counting meters, centimeters, decimeters, decameters, and kilometers. We found a pattern for it. The pattern for centimeters is up by 100 every day. The pattern decimeters is up by 10 every day. The pattern for meters is up by 1 every day. The pattern for decameters is up by 1 every ten days. The pattern for kilometers is up by 1 every 1000 days.
We finished our Statue Of Liberty color paintings. It was fun painting them. On Tuesday we had a voice test on I Need a Little Christmas Vacation. On Nov. 29 we have a voice test on Holiday House Party. On Dec. 6 we have a voice test on Christmas With My Friends.
This week we started Cells in science. We learned about the cell parts. These are the parts, nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplast, cell wall, cytoplasm, cell membrane, and large vacuole. We also learned about inherited, dominant, and recessive traits.
The riddle of the week is: There is 6 apples you take 4 how many do you have?
A:You have 4 apples because there are six apples you TAKE four
The Joke of the week is: What did the DNA say to the other DNA
A: Do these genes make my bottom look fat
We are excited for the school week off plus the weekend which all adds up to 9 days off.
